Gallery Intern

We are looking for university students or recent graduates to fulfill internship positions. Interns will be selected by a variety of criteria including past experience and academic excellence.


In addition to assisting with general gallery tasks, the main areas of responsibility for this intern position are:

  • Helping to establish/expand an online presence for the gallery and its artists.
  • Helping with planning and execution of gallery events

Internship is UNPAID, course credit available for student applicants dependent upon University approval. Commission on artwork sold by the intern is available. 

Schedule will be 15-20 hours a week working remotely on assigned tasks, and helping in person during the gallery-held events in the greater LA area. Internships last up to 4 months with the possibility to hire (subject to availability of the open position).  


Requirements and Qualifications:


Social Media and Publicity - manages and maintains gallery's social media presence and assists with public relations by researching and contacting writers and media outlets, retrieving and compiling press on the gallery and its artists, designing email, Facebook, and Instagram campaigns, monitoring gallery's and artists' social media usage, expanding gallery's audience and establishing presence through innovative forms of communication. Qualifications: Creative, Facebook/Myspace/Instagram/Twitter proficient, exceptional writing and editing skills, ability to create and follow a schedule with deadlines, organized.


Journalism and Writing - writes press releases, social media campaigns, articles and other gallery literature. Qualifications: exceptional writing and editing skills, ability to write in clear, professional voice, understanding of art and vocabulary to write about art, ability to follow directions, work quickly and meet deadlines.


Sales - works with guests to present the artwork, provides exceptional customer service, is able to convey the value of the artwork and how it applies to the viewer.  Qualifications: Passion for fine art, self-motivated, autonomous, efficient, organized, articulate, punctual.
